House and Senate Vote To Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

On Wednesday, December 15, 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives passed (250-175) a stand-alone bill (H.R. 2965), to repeal the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy (DADT). This latest vote intended to encourage the Senate to act before the end of the session, set the stage for the enactment of this legislation.
