A recent health report, entitled “The Health Case for Reforming the Toxic Substances Control Act, “ issued by Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, and co-released by the American Nurses Association, provides evidence that the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) has failed to protect the American public from the harmful effects of toxic chemicals.

Medicare Physician/APRN Pay Cut Avoided

On December 19, President Obama signed into law H.R. 3326, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, which contains a temporary pay freeze on Medicare Part B reimbursement rates for physicians, advanced practice registered nurses, and other non-physician providers.

ANA President Interviewed for White House Health Reform Video

The American Nurses Association (ANA) continues to ensure the nursing profession’s perspective is clearly heard during the ongoing health care debate. ANA worked with the White House to create the online video, “Who Do You Trust”, which features Vice President Joe Biden, ANA President Rebecca M. Patton, and the American Academy of Family Physicians President Lori Heim discussing the need for meaningful health reform now.
