The ANA-PAC Board Welcomes New Trustees
The American Nurses Association Political Action Committee (ANA-PAC) proudly welcomes three new Trustees.
Barbara Crane, RN, CCRN has previously served as a Trustee. Barbara has been a staff nurse for 35 yrs in the ICU at St Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown NY.
In addition to being the past president of the NYSNA Delegate Assembly, she is a board member of the New York State Nurses Association and Alliance for Ethical International Recruitment, as well as the President of the National Federation of Nurses.
Jennifer “Jenn” Davis, RN, BSN was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Nurses Association filling a position specifically reserved for a new nurse. Jennifer graduated from the University of Akron in 2008 and has worked in the Neuro ICU and more recently, Endoscopy. She served as President of the National Student Nurses’ Association as well as Co-Chair of the International Council of Nurses Student Network. She currently serves on the Board for the Greater Cleveland Nurses Association and holds several committee and legislative liaison positions for the Ohio Nurses Association. Jennifer is a member of her state nurses political caucus and is involved in campaigns at the state level.
Elizabeth “Liz” Dietz, EdD, RN, CS-NP, newly appointed ANA Board of Directors Member, is also the Vice President of ANA\California. She has served on the CMA legislative and endorsement committee since the organization’s inception in 1995. Previously Dr Dietz served 2 terms as President of ANA\C as well as past Board Member for the California Board of Registered Nursing where she served as Vice President. She continues to attend and support numerous fundraising and political events state and nationally and is regarded as a leading authority on Nursing Practice.
New officers, including ANA-PAC Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer will be elected in July.
The following members were appointed to serve an additional term of office. They include, Linda Gural, RN, CCRN and Carrie Houser James, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CCE.
